The Adventures of Art & Arto is a story that is being discovered one painting at a time. Inspired by my love of video games, cartoons, nature and storytelling, each painting is a response to the one that came before it, allowing the characters, world and story to grow naturally as I create. Art (short for Arthur) is a kind-hearted heir trying to escape his family's destructive legacy, while Arto is a mysterious spirit bear who was turned to stone after humanity lost its love and respect for nature. As their paths come together, each new painting reveals another piece of their adventure, and I am figuring out where their story goes as I go. The world of Art & Arto is evolving with every painting, and you are invited to discover the story alongside them.

Art, short for Arthur, is the young heir to the throne of a kingdom whose family has a dark history with the natural world. While his ancestors are known for exploiting and damaging nature, Art is different. He is kind-hearted, curious and deeply connected to the wild, believing that humans and nature should live together in harmony. When he discovers the mysterious spirit bear Arto, Art is faced with a responsibility far greater than simply becoming king - to break away from his family's legacy and help put things right.

Arto is a bright orange spirit bear who was once a guardian of nature, living in harmony with the world and protecting the forests, rivers, mountains and creatures within it. As humans slowly lost their love and respect for nature, Arto's spirit weakened until he was ultimately turned to stone, forgotten by the very people he once watched over. Now Arto waits for someone who still cares deeply for the natural world to awaken him.
