By Nick // Nick Prodromou
Nick Prodromou is a London-born artist now based in Dorset, whose vibrant, nostalgic paintings reimagine the cartoon worlds of his childhood through the lens of modern life. Blending pop culture with personal reflection, Nick explores themes of mental health, identity, and the search for calm amid chaos.
A graduate of Camberwell College of Arts (FdA Graphic Design, 2017), Nick first built a career in digital art and design, creating work and visual identities for clients including Boomerang, Sanrio, and The Slow Mo Guys. This early experience shaped his bold, graphic sensibility - one that now infuses his traditional paintings with colour, clarity, and emotional depth.
Since shifting his focus to fine art in 2018, Nick has experimented with acrylic, gouache, oils, and resin, developing a distinctive style that bridges digital precision and painterly expression. His work invites viewers to rediscover familiar characters and symbols, not as simple nostalgia, but as reflections of our inner worlds - complex, flawed, and full of wonder.
